Apparently Marissa Mayer is being attacked for not displaying “feminist” ideals by posing for Vogue.
Times Magazine questioned whether it is “feminist for a powerful woman to pose for a fashion magazine” and whether it is “feminist for a CEO to care about how she looks?”
Mrs.Mayer may be CEO, but she is also a human. What is wrong with wanting to look beautiful and being proud of it? When people look amazing, they feel good too. One does not have to trade style for professional success. Her success obviously has nothing to do with her looks and everything to do with her abilities and intelligence. So as women, we should not be attacking her for being the bimbo she is clearly not or supporting those who do.
